Smoking can produce more acne

Smoking can aggravate your acne?

It is known that smoking can wreak havoc on our skin, as wrinkles and discoloration, as well as premature aging, but what is known about the “acne vulgaris” or the popular spots of the face? It does not cause acne? Is that worse?
Study of the San Gallicano Dermatological Institute in Rome, Italy, suggests that smoking cigarettes causes the onset of acne, it causes the inflammation of carnations that block the skin pores.
The study indicates that among adults with acne, non-smokers showed afformation inflammatory acne. Smokers in turn, were much more prone to having acne from non-inflammatory. These results point to what could be considered as a new entity linking smoking to skin diseases, and investigators called the “smoker’s acne.”
The researchers said 42% of Smoker’s suffer with acne, compared with 10% of non-smokers.
The number of cigarettes smoked, does not seem to have an effect on the severity of acne. But in women who had acne during adolescence, the chances of having acne as an adult are multiplied by four, if they become smokers.
This Italian study corroborates the evidence of an article published in the British Journal of Dermatology in 2001, it expressed that smokers are more prone to acne.
